PA cracking down on DUID
DUID known as Driving Under the Influence Drugged is a serious crime in the state of Pennsylvania. Even though the law has been enacted since 2003 law enforcement is cracking down more so then ever now.
With other states allowing the use of Medical Marijuana there has been an influx of drivers in PA who have been driving under the influence of Marijuana. As long as there is probable suspicion i.e. Blood shot eyes, the smell of Marijuana, visible Marijuana use etc. Attention Grabber https://essaysbuy.net/custom-writing-service
then the officer has reason to believe you are under the influence of some kind of drug and should not be behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. https://essaysbuy.net/essay-writing essaysbuy
The next step is a series of questions the officers is going to give you. If you lie I’m sure he will catch you.
The 3rd and final phase of this is consenting to a Blood and Alcohol test administered at a local hospital where the officer will escort you in cuffs in the back of his car to the hospital. If you do not consent he may arrest you and hold you at station until they deem you are fit to be released no more then 8 to 10 hours usually and then cite you for DUID. When you go to fight it in court the judge will automatically suspend your license for 18 months and you will have a lot of costs to pay in the mean time.
If you do consent and do go to the hospital for blood and alcohol and willingly go with the officers they will do a series of blood work and may ask you to give a urine sample as well. When you do all of this they will in fact see what you are on and you will have to explain to a judge somewhere down the line why and how it happened.
Pennsylvania is not a state that is lenient at all when it comes to DUI’s and they are punishing to the extreme when applicable.
